“Kaas Chante Piaf“ - “Kaas Sings Piaf” - is Patricia Kaas’ new project, focusing on songs recorded by the great Edith Piaf. After a fabulous career of more than 20 years and international success, Patricia Kaas is still the rightful heiress to “La Mome” for audiences across the world. She has been awarded multi platinum status albums during her long career, and since the appearance of her debut album Mademoiselle chante... in 1988, Kaas has sold over 16 million records worldwide. In 2002 Kaas was voted the “International Female Artist of the Year”, and previous awards include “Best French Female Artist of the Year” (World Music 1991 and 1995), and “Female Singer of the Year” (Golden Europa 1990). She also has landed major acting roles in the film “And Now,…Ladies & Gentlemen” directed by Claude Lelouch and in the TV production “Assassinée” (Murdered) by Thierry Binisti.

The Album was recorded at Air Studios in London with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, arranged, orchestrated, conducted and produced by Golden Globe winner Abel Korzeniowski, the new wonder-boy of the Hollywood music scene. This new milestone in Patricia’s career covers some of the most beautiful songs of Edith Piaf’s repertoire, ranging from world famous hits to some of her more confidential melodies.

After the opening of the tour on the 5th November 2012 at the Royal Albert Hall, the show will be performed at some of the world’s most prestigious venues, and will tour in more than 45 countries from February 2013.
